Segatious as ever, Walter took a discerning decision before the commencement of the Season that DOLLAR would be handled by the Dunne Family. It was well rewarded as it resulted in another fruitful year with 5 Wins from 8 Starts :

TIR PRINCE 18th MAY:Tw TP 18._edited-1 In the opener, he launched a blueprint for what was to be another action packed campaigne and took the honours in notching up a comfortable 2 length win in an even time of 2 minutes.

PORTMARNOCK 23rd JUNE : PORTMARNOCK 23_edited-1Back on home territory and off a trail, DOLLAR recorded, what is becoming like clockwork to him, a customary sub 2:00 mile. He held off the field under moderate urging to prevail in 1:58.4 and reward his connections.

CEREDIGION 7th JULY : On a return journey to Wales, he had to dig in aggressively in the stretch to appropriately triumph in The Commissioner FFA Pace, after parrying a sustained challenge to score another success and exhibit his capabilities on grass.CERE 777

TIR PRINCE 20th JULY : TP HT 1The banner headline race proved to be a Heat of the Crock wherein, interference free, DOLLAR chalked up yet another victory. He was called upon for pace in the home run-in and responded in the startling time of 1:58.4 which unsurprisingly turned out to be the quickest on the night…..

WOLVERHAMPTON 16th AUGUST :16   This prestigious fixture in the BHRC calendar became a reality primarily by generous sponsorship from Fletcher Metals and the organising skills of industrious Jackie Maguire. On the big stage of Dunstall Park DOLLAR took the opportunity to act out one of his most accomplished performances. He went above and beyond expectation to WOLVES1 wrap up the Fletcher Metals FFA by 3 lengths and capture the Colin Berrington Memorial Trophy. Jubilant scenes in the winners enclosure reflected the mood and delight of a large and appreciative crowd.A PRESENTATION - CARMEL & WALTER STEWART - Copy At the same venue Carmel was presented with the BHRC Overseas Horse of the Year 2012 Trophy by the Chairman Gordon Garnett – all it seems to require now is for 2013 to be inscribed on it besides !!

It is incumbent to place on record the professionalism and expert horsemanship of Christy, Geoff & Jonathan in making the Season such a resounding success for Walter & Family. Here are some pictures of DOLLAR in full flight….ZZ2 PM 11                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ZZ3 PM 11                                                                                                                       In the aftermath of it all, on his return from County Kildare, the STAR PERFORMER is relaxing at home in County Londonderry…
