AS A 4 YEAR OLD

Due to injury his exploits as a 4 year  old were unfortunately curtailed to a sole appearance during 2009. However, Dollar managed to amaze the audience at Tir Prince on the evening of the 27th June by winning a very competetive race in a stunning time of 1min57.8secs.  Musselburgh was always intended to have been his prime target that year but Dollar did not race again after undergoing veterinary treatment.

However, his exploits as a three year old were recognised and he commanded the vote to seize the British Harness Racing Club Overses Horse Of The Year Award relating to 2008. Carmel duly received that trophy from  Gordon Garnett, the Chairman of the BHRC, at a presentation at Musselburgh Racecourse on the 19th July –  quite appropriately, as that venue was to become once more a victorious hunting ground for him in the succeeding year 2010.
